Dinov - Poland Jewish Guest House

In the Chasidic tradition, ascending to the rabbi's grave for prayer is significant due to its sacred nature. Recently, there is a new movement of Chasidim coming to Poland, es- tablishing accommodations and institutions around the graves of important rabbis. This allows peo- ple from outside of Poland to come and pray at any time, essentially embodying the romantic idea of returning to the Steytel. Chasidut originated in Poland and Ukraine. In this series, I photographed the Guest House of Chasidim in Dinov, Poland, exploring the interplay between Chasidic kitsch influenced by religion and modern Eastern European kitsch.
