This series of photos was taken before and after shabbat. Shabbat is the day on which every religious jew must rest. What can be seen are the places where the meals were prepared, many different tables and their set ups for the highest day in the week.
What is frequently shown is
single use plastic. During shabbat, as a religious person, you are not allowed to use a dishwasher. The day is connected to many more rules and prohibitions. The religious have built a certain eco- nomy around this day.
The aesthetic that is portrayed in this series reflects on how ones personal life is being projected onto the shabbat set up.
